We are a group of ratepayers and citizens of the Shoalhaven. We are not just members of the Nowra Pool, but are from everywhere you might say. You would see us at the supermarket. What unites us is a determination to not let the Council sell the pool and all its adjoining land to developers. That pool sits on community land that was acquired for a park. It was built and paid for by local men and women. We want to raise awareness in the community of the intentions of Council to reclassify the pool land from "community" land to "operational" land. This will allow the land to be sold to a private developer. We want to show that Nowra Pool is a great asset to the community for the health and wellbeing of citizens and that Nowra Pool provides easy and safe access for Nowra residents and surrounds and that it is much more economical to spend $2m to upgrade than $35m to build a new pool somewhere else.
